Low Fat Cranberry Chocolate Granola Bars


Need a healthy snack to get you through the day and have to have a chocolate fix then try these yummy cranberry and chocolate granola bars on the go!




Ingredients
1/2 cup rolled oat (quick or old fashioned)
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup wheat germ (toasted)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup honey
2/3 cup cranberries (dried sweetened)
2/3 cup chocolate chips (dark chocolate chips divided) 
 
Preparation
1)Preheat oven to 300 degrees farenheit.
2)Spray an 8" square pan with cooking oil spray or coat sides and bottom of pan with canola oil.
3)In a large bowl, combine oats, flour, wheat germ, and cinnamon.
4)Stir in honey until dry ingredients are well coated.
5)Stir in dried cranberries and 1/3 cup of the chocolate chips.
6)Pat mixture into oiled pan.
7)Top mixture with remaining 1/3 cup of chocolate chips.
8)Bake for 18 - 20 minutes or until top is golden.
9)Cool in pan, then cut into squares.
